RADON
BELOW ARE THE FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW

WHAT IS RADON:
- Radon is a colorless, odorless, tasteless radioactive gas that occurs naturally as a byproduct of the decay of uranium in soil, rock, and water. It can be found in various levels in the outdoor air, but it becomes a concern when it accumulates indoors, particularly in basements and ground floors of homes and buildings.
- Radon exposure is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. Long-term exposure to high levels of radon can significantly increase the risk of developing lung cancer.
- Radon in U.S. homes causes over 21,000 U.S. deaths per year.
- Any home can have high levels of radon, no matter where it is located or how it is built.
- Radon can seep into your home through cracks in floors, walls, and foundations, gaps around service pipes, construction joints, and even through the water supply.

TESTING FOR RADON:
The only way to know if radon is present in your home at harmful levels is through testing.
Most home inspectors can test your home for radon, but not all of them use highly accurate equipment and testing methods.
Inspectors using Breeze Radon blind continuous radon monitors will offer test results that you can trust to be both accurate and unbiased.
Carolina Home Inspectors uses the Breeze continuous radon monitor. It takes a reading every ten minutes over a 48hr period to provide an accurate and detailed report.

WHY BREEZE:
Breeze Rason serves as the trusted partner in radon testing to Carolina Home Inspectors. Breeze provides the best lab-quality radon testing equipment, and securely processes radon test data to provide you independent, unbiased analysis in an easy-to-read radon test report.

After every radon test, encrypted test data, which also indicates environmental fluctuations and tempering attempts, is uploaded to the Breeze lab to be decrypted. Only then is it seen and analyzed by a human radon expert. This method guarantees complete confidence in the results reported to you.
Every radon test is checked and certified by a lab expert at Breeze Radon before it is released to you, guaranteeing you a comprehensive radon report that you can trust!
